A 31-year-old man is in police custody, charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 26-year-old Richard Durant.
Police say there was trouble when they went to arrest the suspect on Sunday. Authorities allege the suspect pointed a firearm at a police officer.
Durant was shot on Oct. 30 outside Tom's Sports Bar and Caf�, located on Davenport Road near Ossington Avenue. He was rushed to hospital but later died of his injuries.
A second man at the scene was also shot during the altercation but he has since recovered.
Toronto resident Samora Fogah has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder while using a firearm.
