TORONTO - Toronto police have arrested and charged a man they believe was trying to force women to become sex workers.

Police say the man went by the aliases "Ricky Downey" and "Playboy" and operated all over the city but mostly in the downtown core and along Kingston Road.

Mark Anthony Burton, 42, is charged with two counts of procuring a person to become a prostitute, one count of living on the avails of prostitution as well as various sexual assault and theft charges.

He was scheduled to appear in court today.

Investigators say there may be more alleged victims than those already identified and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
