A 23-year-old man was shot in the stomach on Monday in a possible home invasion attempt in the city's west end.
Police received a report of a home invasion at 22 Greenlaw Ave., near Lansdowne Avenue and Davenport Rd., at about 11 a.m.
They found the male shooting victim when they arrived at the home. He was transported to a trauma centre.
The nearby Loretto College School, a Catholic high school for girls, was given a "hold and secure" designation while police searched the area for suspects. The school resumed normal operations shortly after 1 p.m.
No arrests have been made. Police at the city's duty desk said they believe they are looking for two suspects but have no further details.
