GREY HIGHLANDS, Ont. - A 21-year-old man is dead after the car he rode in smashed into a tree off a rural road in southern Ontario.
Provincial police say the car was headed north on Road 45 near Concession 10 in Grey Highlands, southwest of Collingwood.
They say the 20-year-old driver lost control of the car and careened off the road just before 4 a.m.
The car plowed into at least one tree, killing the passenger. The driver wasn't injured.
Neither has been identified.
