Toronto police have charged a 51-year-old man with 11 sex offences, including several charges of sexual assault and making child pornography.

Police made the arrest after a nine-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted over an 18-month period between 2005 and 2006.

The accused is a convicted child sex offender, police said.

In 1994 in Brampton, he was found guilty of two counts of sexual interference, and in 1987 in Belleville, he was convicted of indecent assault and sexual assault.

Charged is Randolph Bartley, who is also known as "Randy" or "Gordie."

Bartley worked at Star Coin Laundromat at Dufferin Street and Glencairn Avenue.

Investigators believe there may be other victims, and are urging anyone whose children have had contact with the accused to contact police.

Bartley is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 14.
