A 68-year-old man has been charged in connection to a sexual assault of a young girl in the 1980s in Scarborough.
The girl was seven years old when she was sexually assaulted in the Birchmount Road and Sheppard Avenue East area. Police said the child was assaulted between 1982 and 1989.
Police are concerned there may be other victims.
A suspect identified as Toronto-resident Robert Prouse was arrested on Friday and charged with an indecent act on a female, two counts of sexual assault and sexual interference.
He is scheduled to appear in court on August 18 at 2 p.m.
