A male driver is dead after he was thrown from his vehicle in a fatal rollover collision in Brampton Sunday morning.

Police say Phillip Bozanis, 25, lost control of his car while driving on the southbound ramp from Highway 410 to Queen Street, just after 5 a.m.

His white Acura crashed into a ditch and Bozanis was ejected from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, but police say they will investigate whether speed, alcohol, and failure to use a seatbelt were factors.

"These collisions are so preventable and while we don’t know the exact circumstances of this one, it is just a matter of focussing on the road and making sure you are safe," OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said.

Highway 410 was closed for several hours and has since reopened.
