Police have released security camera images of a suspect in a series of Toronto bank robberies, hoping the public can aid in identifying the man.

The man in the photo is wanted for his role in four robberies, three of which happened on the same day.

On Jan. 22, police said the same man targeted three banks in the city's west end within a span of six hours. At 2:15 p.m., investigators say the man entered a bank at Royal York Road and La Rose Avenue, but fled before he got any money.

Two hours later, he entered a bank on Keele Street, just south of Finch Avenue West, and fled with a quantity of money. Shortly before 8 p.m., he went into a bank in the Bloor Street West and Royal York Road area, but fled empty-handed.

In all three robberies, the man passed the teller a note indicating he had a gun and demanding a quantity of cash. He also brandished an iPhone with a countdown timer running.

Weeks later, a man matching the same description, as well as an accomplice, entered a bank near Bloor Street West and Mill Road on Feb. 6.

Police said the two men were disguised with ski masks, baseball hats and hoods.

One of them showed the teller a holdup note and started a digital timer on his cellphone while the other told the teller he had a gun. The men were handed a quantity of cash before they fled.

On Friday, police released photos of the man wanted for all four robberies, hoping someone will be able to identify him. He's described as black, aged 20 to 25, and is approximately 5-foot-6 with a slim build.

The accomplice in the fourth robbery is described as black, between the ages of 20 and 25 and approximately 6-feet tall.
