The Pan Am and Parapan Am Games have taken over parts of Toronto for the next few weeks, and you don't need a ticket to catch the action.

From races to fireworks to music events, there's lots do to in Toronto that won’t cost you a cent.

Free events

While most of the events for the Games will take place inside ticketed venues, a number of the endurance events are open to the public as they wind through Toronto streets.

The men’s and women’s marathons will start and finish at Ontario Place. While tickets are being sold for spots along the start and finish lines of the marathon, the public can see the runners during the race as they head along Lakeshore Boulevard to High Park.

Other free events happening at Ontario Place include cycling, sailing, race walk and triathlon. While there are paid tickets for these events, there are areas where spectators can see the action without a ticket.

Free fireworks

Toronto was treated a firework display on the CN Tower during the opening ceremony.

If you missed this, don’t worry. A free firework show will be set off at City Hall every night during the Pan Am Games.

Music events

A number of free concerts will be held around the city during the Games.

Panamania live at Nathan Phillips Square

There will be more than 130 musical acts on three stages at Nathan Phillips Square, and they're all free to the public. The Games will also be broadcast live on a jumbo video screen. This will happen daily from July 10 to 26 and August 7 to 12.

Panamania Live at The Distillery District

The Distillery district will host several free musical performances during the Pan Am Games from July 11 to 25.

CIBC Pan Am Park

The Pan Am Park is located on the CNE grounds, where there will be daily live performances from July 11 to 25.
