Toronto police are investigating after a person was found dead inside an apartment unit in Scarbrough on Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to an apartment building in the Sheppard Avenue and Warden Avenue area around 1:30 p.m. after police received reports that someone was found unconscious and not breathing.
Toronto paramedics confirmed the patient was deceased.
Police say the homicide unit is investigating but have yet to officially declare the death a homicide.
