HAMILTON, Ont. - Police in Hamilton say a 51-year-old teacher is facing sexual assault charges involving a student at Cathedral Secondary School.

Police allege the student was initially approached at school in 2008 by a teacher and sexual assaults occurred in various locations in the school and at other locations.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between 2008 and 2010.

Giuseppe Graziano of Stoney Creek, Ont., is charged with invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation, sexual assault and sexual interference.

Investigators say Graziano is to appear for a bail hearing on Wednesday.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
