Hamilton police seized approximately $880,000 worth of cocaine in a Toronto drug bust this past week.
Police began investigating Wednesday, leading to the arrest of two menin a car on Front Street near University Avenue in Toronto.
Police recovered a quantity of drugs, including 45 grams of heroin, $2,400 in organized crime proceeds, and small quantities of oxycodone and hydromorphone.
A search warrant was executed for a Toronto area hotel room in the same area. Police seized eight kilograms of cocaine in the room, the largest non-project amount ever by Hamilton police.
Karamiijit Mahal, 31, and Amrinderjit Sidhu, 29, of Mississauga were arrested and charged with possession of drugs and proceeds of crime under $5,000.
Further investigations led the Drug and Vice unit along with Emergency Response Units to search a home at 8 Riviera Ridge in Stoney Creek, Ontario on Thursday.
Two firearms, an AT1 shotgun and a 9mm Luger handgun, were registered to the homeowner.
A 25-year-old Stoney Creek woman was arrested and charged with weapons offences.
