A Toronto father is appealing for the suspects who allegedly murdered his son at a Driftwood basketball court to come forward.

"I want to appeal to the killers of my son to please come forward and surrender to the police," Nana Appiah told reporters on Thursday. "We have you forgiven you for what you have done to our son. Our son is in a better place now. We just want you to know that we miss him daily."

The shooting of William Junior Appiah, 18, occurred on Sept. 16. A small memorial marked the spot on Thursday.

"He has been coming here literally every day," said Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, the family's spokesperson. "He will bring candle after candle. I try to pull him out of here and say, 'you have to let go.'"

Three days after the shooting, Toronto police released security camera video and still images of three suspects.

All three individuals are shown in the video walking separately towards the scene of the shooting on a basketball court at 4400 Jane St. on Tuesday. Two of the three have hoodies on.

A minute later, the three are seen running from the scene.

A local woman performed CPR on William after the shooting, but she couldn't save him. She told reporters Thursday she still can't sleep.

At the Sept. 19 news conference unveiling the video,  Det. Gary Grinton told the suspects: "Do the right thing ... Talk to a lawyer. Come in and talk to us."

Grinton said Appiah appeared to be targeted, but he didn't know why. Nana Appiah said while his son had a minor criminal record, William was not involved with either gangs or drugs.

William's funeral will be held Monday.

If anyone  recognizes the suspects, Grinton has said they could call him directly at (416) 808-7415 or by calling Crime Stoppers at (416)-222-TIPS or online at www.222tips.com. People can also text TOR and send a message to CRIMES (274637).
