Peel police hope that some unique pieces of clothing will help them identify the remains of a male found dead on Monday.

Homicide investigators say that the male's remains were found behind a hardware store near the intersection of Heart Lake Road and Bovaird Drive.

Police say that the remains had been there for the "past year," and they believe that the male was between 20 and 40 years-old.

Investigators say the deceased had black or dark brown hair and was wearing the following clothing:

  • Rock and Republic Jeans, size 30-32
  • Black Prada messenger bag
  • Yohji Yamamoto sneakers, size 9

The body was found in a field behind a Lowe's store after a passerby called police.

While homicide officers are investigating, the nature of the death is still being probed, police said.

Police want anyone with information about the case to call the Homicide Bureau at (905) 453-212 ext. 3205.
