A two-year-old boy drowned at a pond west of Shelburne, Ont., on Friday morning.
The toddler was spotted floating in the pond near Highway 89 and was rushed to a local hospital.
Doctors planned to airlift him to Toronto for treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries.
The OPP is currently investigating his death.
