Durham police are investigating a sudden death after a man’s body was found in a vehicle in Whitevale Cemetery in Pickering Thursday morning.
Police said the body was located at around 9 a.m. after a call came in reporting a suspicious vehicle.
Police said that no foul play is suspected at this time, but they are looking into the cause of death and have called in forensic officers.
They have also notified the homicide unit as part of their investigation.
The police investigation will determine whether the death was the result of a homicide, suicide or misadventure, police said.
Police are also canvassing the neighbourhood for more information.
