TORONTO - A day after delivering his 50th home run, Blue Jays star slugger Jose Bautista showed he's not done yet.

Bautista hit two more Friday in the Toronto Blue Jays 6-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles, giving him a major league-leading 52 on the season.

"It's hard for me to believe it," said Bautista, who became the 26th player to hit 50 home runs in a season in Thursday's 1-0 win over the Seattle Mariners. "But I'm not going to change a thing. I`m just trying to keep it simple, just get ready, see the ball and hit it."

Vernon Wells hit his 30th homer in front of 13,412 at Rogers Centre, as the Blue Jays won despite being outhit 16-5. It's the largest margin by which the Blue Jays have been outhit and still won. But three of the hits were homers as Bautista continues his magical season.

"I'm trying not to get too caught up in the homers and the amounts," said Bautista. "I'm trying to go up there and not think home run. I'm just trying to keep my focus on getting ready because that's what's allowed me to be so successful and so consistent."

He also had two walks Friday and has 98 on the season. His three runs batted in give him 118 for the season.

Left-hander Brett Cecil (14-7) allowed a season-high 11 hits and three runs -- two earned -- in 6 1/3 innings. Kevin Gregg gave up a walk, two hits and a run in the ninth before being replaced by Jesse Carlson with two out and a 2-0 count on pinch-hitter Matt Wieters. Carlson got a fly out for his first save of the season.

Chris Tillman (1-5) allowed five runs and four hits, including three home runs, in six innings.

Bautista's 51st homer of the season, a liner to left with two out in the first, gave the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead.

The Orioles came back in the second with an unearned run because of a throwing error by third baseman Edwin Encarnacion on a leadoff grounder by Jake Fox.

Craig Tatum singled to right with one out and Brandon Snyder doubled to left to score the run.

Wells homered in the fourth after Bautista walked to put the Blue Jays ahead 3-1.

Wells becomes the fourth Blue Jay to hit 30 home runs in at least three seasons, joining Carlos Delgado (8), Joe Carter (4) and Fred McGriff (3).

"It's a good, round number but it pales in comparison to the guy hitting in front of me," Wells said. "It's cool but not nearly as cool as 52. It's good to hit balls over the fence but it's been a lot more fun watching Jose go to work, and what he's been able to accomplish so far this year."

Bautista's 52nd of the season came on a 1-2 pitch in the sixth and followed Yunel Escobar's one-out single. This one was a towering drive to left and gave Toronto a 5-1 lead.

The Orioles started the seventh with doubles by Brian Roberts and Nick Markakis.

Shawn Camp replaced Cecil with one out in the seventh. Cecil wasn't happy about being removed and showed it when manager Cito Gaston removed him from the game.

"I really wanted to finish the inning," Cecil said. "I kind of showed it in a poor way. I went in and apologized to him. That's not me and it will never happen again."

"He just got caught up in the moment," Gaston said. "He didn't want to come out of the game. Sometimes that will happen. It worked out okay. I'd rather have guys who don't want to come out rather than guys who do want to come out."

Camp gave up a single to Ty Wigginton, retired pinch-hitter Luke Scott on a fly to right, and allowed a run-scoring single to Nolan Reimold to make the score 5-3 before striking out Tatum.

The Blue Jays loaded the bases with one out against Matt Albers in the eighth on a single and two walks. Left-hander Mark Hendrickson came in to walk Lyle Overbay to force in a run.
