BARRIE, Ont. - Charges have been laid in the case of a 55-year-old Barrie, Ont., man who was found dead in his home last week.

Police say Roy Edward Hales died of blunt force trauma as a result of injuries sustained during a physical altercation on the weekend of July 17.

On Sunday, police arrested 31-year-old Barrie resident James Jonathon Dillon.

Dillon is charged with manslaughter, robbery, possession of property obtained by crime, breach of probation and breach of recognizance.

Barrie police continue to canvass the area near Hales' home.
