A motorcyclist has been pronounced dead at the scene and a teenage passenger has been rushed to hospital after a motorcycle crashed into a pick-up truck on Hwy. 401 Saturday afternoon.
The OPP responded to a crash in the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 near Carlingview Dr. around 1:30 p.m. and found two victims suffering from multiple fractures.
Police say the male driver of the motorcycle died at the scene, while a 14-year-old passenger was airlifted to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The OPP closed down all eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 at Hwy. 427 following the crash. The lanes have since been reopened.
