Police have charged a Mississauga teenager in connection to a car crash that killed his friend.
Nico Mijacika-Hoffman, 17, died after the van he was riding in lost control, struck a snowbank and came to rest on a roadway near
The teen was pronounced dead at a Toronto-area hospital.
The accident, which happened at Derry Road near Samuelson Circle in Mississauga, took place on February 26.
Authorities say their subsequent investigation lead them to charge the 17-year-old driver of the van with dangerous driving causing death.
The teen, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was expected to appear in a Brampton court room Sunday.
