A four-year-old autistic boy who went missing Friday afternoon was struck by a car in the city's west end.
The boy had somehow slipped away from his caregiver in The Queensway and Royal York Road area at about 3:30 p.m.
While dozens of officers scrambled to find the boy, another call came in to police at about 4 p.m. that the boy had been found, but that he was the victim of a car accident.
Luckily, the driver was travelling below the speed limit on nearby Grand Avenue, and the boy only suffered a bump on the head, police said.
