A 70-year-old Milton man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly firing shots inside a home.
Halton Regional Police said they received a call about gunshots fired at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday.
A woman told police she had barricaded herself inside a bathroom to hide from the man. When she felt it was safe, the woman fled to a neighbour’s house and called police.
The Milton resident was later arrested and faces several charges, including attempted murder, pointing a firearm and using a firearm.
Police said they will not release his name to protect the identity of the victim.
