REGINA - Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty is calling for a national summit on pensions.

McGuinty says he's concerned that many Canadians are facing retirement without adequate income. He says governments may have to come up with more incentives to convince people to sock away money.

Other premiers have discussed setting up provincial public pension plans, which would top up the Canada Pension Plan for people who do not have workplace pensions.

It's not clear how much attention the issue will get at the premiers' conference underway in Regina, as other economic issues and swine flu have so far dominated the agenda.
