WOODSTOCK, Ont. -- Police are redirecting eastbound traffic on Highway 401 near Woodstock, Ont., after a pile-up involving at least 50 vehicles.
Const. Lisa Narancsik says the highway is closed from the Foldens Line and Mill Street exits due to the chain-reaction crash, which occurred just before 1 p.m.
She says several motorists suffered minor injuries as vehicles slammed together on the highway.
Narancsik says snow squalls resulting in poor road conditions are a factor in the collisions.
Narancsik is reminding drivers to exercise extreme caution while driving in wintry weather, and make sure to give themselves plenty of space on the roads.
