PORT HOPE, Ont. - Marathon swimmer Vicki Keith will be back in the water today to continue her shoreline swim across Lake Ontario.

Cold water forced her out of the water near Whitby early last night, about 10 hours into her 70-killometre swim.

Keith said the lake was so cold that her face hurt every time she put it into the water.

She is planning to get back in the water this morning 15 to 20 kilometres out from Port Hope.

The swim is the first leg of the a 420-kilometre relay for kids with disabilities and their siblings.

The second leg of the race will be completed by Jenna Lambert, the first person with a disability to swim across Lake Ontario, and her sister Natalie.
