TORONTO - A Toronto man who has been playing the same Lotto 6-49 numbers for about 20 years has finally hit the jackpot.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming says Christos Rados is the sole winner of the $7,002,971 jackpot from the March 12 draw.
Having played the same numbers for so long, Rados says he knew that he had won as soon as he saw a printout of the winning numbers.
He says he will take more time to think about how to enjoy his big win.
But Rados says he plans to share the windfall with his family, maybe get a bigger apartment, and is considering retiring.
Rados says he happy having finally hit the jackpot after all these years.
"I'm appreciative to have won, but money is not the most important thing in life, health first," he said.
