A man was shot in his Queen Street West home on Tuesday morning after waking to find a stranger inside.
Toronto police say the victim woke up to find an unknown man in his home, armed with a gun. The victim was shot in the face, but suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Parkdale Collegiate Institute, Holy Family Elementary School and Mary, Mother of God School were put in lockdown as officers investigated, but the lockdowns have since been called off.
The shooting victim has been taken to hospital and police continue to investigate. No suspect description has been released.
