A suspicious death on the weekend is now considered a homicide by Toronto police.

Police were called to 200 Exbury Rd., located at Jane Street just south of the Oakdale Golf and Country Club, last Friday at about 11 a.m.

There are two highrise apartment buildings at that location.

Police spokesperson Const. Victor Kwong told CTV News on Tuesday that officers weren't originally dispatched to a homicide call.

Upon arriving at the scene, they found a man's body in a rear parking lot, police said Tuesday in a news release.

"A post-mortem examination determined that the cause of death was multiple trauma associated to a fall," police said.

Kwong couldn't say what in the autopsy made investigators consider the man's death a homicide.

Toronto’s 41st homicide victim of 2011 has been identified as Patrick Walters, a 55-year-old Toronto resident

A homicide investigator wasn't immediately available for comment.
