One man is dead after losing control of his vehicle on Highway 401, near Victoria Park Avenue.
The vehicle spun out of control early Thursday morning and was struck by oncoming traffic.
Police say speeding and a slick road surface may have been factors in the incident.
Meanwhile, in Brockville, Ont. a section of westbound Highway 401 was set to reopen Thursday after a multi-vehicle accident.
The incident happened Wednesday night when two transport trucks and several passenger vehicles collided near Mallorytown.
Police say no one was injured; however, traffic was diverted to surrounding routes overnight.
