A man who was stabbed at a convenience store in Scarborough has succumbed to his injuries.

Toronto police said the incident occurred at a store on Kingston Road, northeast of McCowan Road, at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Investigators said the 21-year-old man was involved in a dispute with at least two other people when one pulled out a knife and stabbed him multiple times. The suspects then fled the scene, heading east.

The victim has been identified the 21-year-old victim as Trey Theriault.

Theriault went to a home nearby, knocked on the door and told the resident he'd been stabbed. Police and paramedics were then called to the scene, and the victim was rushed to hospital.

Police said Theriault succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.

Two 18-year-old men have been arrested as a result of the fatal stabbing. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with more information is asked to contact police at 416-808-2222 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
