A Brampton man was charged with five counts of luring Friday after he allegedly responded to investigators posing as young girls on the internet.
Peel police allege Andrew Robertshaw engaged in sexually explicit conversations and performed indecent acts on a web cam for officers posing as either 12-year old or 13-year-old girls.
On numerous occasions for two months, police allege the 35 year-old Brampton man communicated with undercover investigators on an online chat channel.
Peel police, London police and the Ontario Provincial Police Internet Exploitation Units were involved as part of a joint forces investigation.
"This is an excellent example of how police services province-wide are pooling their resources to combat on line child exploitation," Det. Glenn Margison said in a press release.
"It is projects like this that have been made possible by the grant provided from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and the Ministry of the Attorney General."
Robertshaw is being held and is slated to appear in court Saturday.
