York Regional Police have charged a Richmond Hill man with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a woman on the weekend.
Officers were called to a unit inside a condominium complex on Yonge Street north of Elgin Mills Road shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Upon arrival, they found the woman's body.
A man was arrested at the scene. Police say the suspect and the victim knew one another.
A suspect, identified as 36-year-old Jonathon Ross, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the case.
The woman’s name has not been released due to a court-ordered publication ban.
Police say they are not looking for additional suspects in their investigation.
