INNISFIL, Ont. -- Police say a 75-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly threatening a coffee shop employee over a mistake in his order.

South Simcoe police say officers responded to a call of a person pointing a firearm early last Friday afternoon in Innisfil, Ont.

It's alleged that when a man had placed an order, the clerk misunderstood what he was saying and entered the wrong order.

Investigators allege the man indicated he had a gun, threatened the clerk, then picked up his purchase and drove off.

They say a suspect was arrested at his home and the weapon turned out to be a collapsible cane.

An Innisfil man is charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.
