Police seized more than 200 fake TTC tokens during an undercover investigation, leading to the arrest of a 25-year-old man.
On Wednesday, officers from the financial crimes unit arrested a suspect after undercover investigators met up with a man in an effort to buy an undisclosed amount of fake tokens.
Police said a total of 210 fake TTC tokens were found at the scene of the arrest.
A suspect identified as 25-year-old WeiWei Zheng was arrested and charged with possession of counterfeit slugs, sell counterfeit slugs, deal with counterfeit token, attempt fraud under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime.
He is scheduled to make an appearance in court on Friday.
