A 26-year-old man is dead after a three-vehicle crash in Scarborough overnight Sunday.
The collision happened in the area of Bellamy Road North and Lawrence Avenue East at approximately 12:45 a.m. According to Toronto police, a vehicle travelling southbound at a high speed on Bellamy Road North struck another vehicle heading eastbound on Lawrence Avenue East. That second vehicle then struck another vehicle also travelling eastbound on Lawrence.
Police say a male passenger in the first vehicle was pronounced dead. The driver of that vehicle, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. Police say several other people from the other vehicles were also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
