NEWMARKET, Ont. -

York Regional Police say a single suspect is believed to be responsible for at least 10 bank robberies in the Greater Toronto Area.

The lone suspect held up a bank in Richmond Hill, Ont., last Saturday morning.

Police say the suspect approached a bank teller, jumped the counter, indicated he had a weapon and made a demand for cash.

Although no weapon was seen, the victim complied and the man fled the area on foot with a quantity of cash.

Police say there were no injuries.

Police say the same man is believed to be responsible for six other robberies in York Region and three additional heists in other regions.
