LONDON, Ont. -- Police say a man from London, Ont., is facing charges in relation to the historical sexual assault of his six-month-old daughter.

London police say Toronto officers informed them about a man whose daughter had allegedly been sexually assaulted as a baby.

Officers searched a London home and seized a tablet with multiple images of suspected child pornography, and methamphetamine.

A 38-year-old man faces numerous charges, including sexual assault, sexual exploitation and sexual interference.

He is also charged with possessing, accessing and importing or selling child porn.

Det. Sgt. Glenn Hadley of the London police says the case "illustrates the link" between viewing child pornography and child sexual abuse.
