A lockdown at the campuses of Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa has been lifted after reports of an armed person on campus Friday afternoon.
Durham Regional Police sent out a message via Twitter informing students and staff that the lockdown had been lifted and those on campus were safe to leave the area.
Durham Regional police issued a lockdown in the area after they received a call about an armed person at around 12:45 p.m.
There were no reports of injuries.
