A King West club promoter wanted on multiple sexual assault charges has surrendered to officers at the Niagara Falls border, his lawyer confirms.

The charges stem from allegations by five different women who say they were sexually assaulted between 1994 and 2014.

One of the victims told police she was 15 at the time of the alleged assault.

The 39-year-old suspect was previously a photographer and promoter with Toronto-based Kleen Media, a promotional company connected to events held in the Entertainment District.

Since the man’s arrest on March 1, lawyer J. Randall Barrs says his client was evicted from his condo on Queens Quay – where he was instructed to reside, as per his bail conditions. He was also prohibited from being alone in any private place with any female not related to him.

Barrs said his client told police he was moving in with his father but instead left for Los Angeles “to make some money.”

A warrant was issued for Mark Holland in July of 2016 for violation of his bail conditions.

Barrs said Holland never told him he was going to travel to the United States but acknowledged that the bail conditions imposed did not ban him from travelling.

“Police were always aware of his whereabouts and so was the Crown Attorney,” Barrs said, adding that photos of Holland in L.A. were seen on social media during this time.

The judge presiding over the case issued a bench warrant for Holland sometime after Feb. 6, 2017 when he didn’t show for a scheduled court date.

Barrs said Holland surrendered to CBSA officers at the Niagara Falls border crossing this morning. He was brought to Toronto and was remanded into custody.

He is expected to appear in a College Park courtroom for a new bail hearing on Thursday morning. At that time, a judge is expected to set new trial dates.
