Ontario Provincial Police in Bracebridge are investigating human remains found at an area cottage on Monday evening.
The remains are not believed to be related to the remains of a Bolton man found at three separate locations in cottage country in May, police said.
Police began their investigation of remains found on Monday at a Merrick Drive cottage on Wood Lake, about 15 kilometers east of Bracebridge. A crime scene unit has been called in to assist.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Wednesday in Toronto.
In May, police investigated remains discovered in Oro-Medonte and Lake of Bays townships.
Oro-Medonte is about 100 kilometres from Bolton. Lake of Bays is about 130 kilometres away from Oro-Medonte.
Police received a third report of remains on May 28. A contractor found them between Bracebridge and Baysville.
The remains were identified as being those of 45-year-old Morris Conte.
