A Toronto man is searching for the owner of a pair of hockey tickets, even though he'd love to use them himself.

Nick Gambroudes was walking by the Air Canada Centre on Saturday when he noticed something on the ground. He kneeled down to get a closer look, and realized they were tickets to a Toronto Maple Leafs game.

Gambroudes is a Leafs fan, and was initially thrilled that he found the tickets.

"I was really excited that I found tickets, and I was happy. I was like, 'I'm going to the game for free!'" Gambroudes told CTV Toronto on Tuesday.

He went home and showed the tickets to his mother, but had a change of heart as the pair discussed his find. They decided they should try to find the owner.

The Durham College student took to the Internet, posting on the classified ads website Kijiji that he had found the tickets to the game on Feb. 23.

"We haven't had anything from Kijiji. No one contacted me at all," he said.

His mother reached out to CTV Toronto on Tuesday, hoping that the media would be able to help reach the owner. CTV also contacted Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment to see if the company would be able to track down the ticketholder.

Gambroudes said he has mixed feelings, and is hoping to find the owner, but also wants to go to the game if no one comes forward.
