A number of Toronto roads were flooded Thursday night after heavy rains and thunderstorms moved across the region.
Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for Toronto. It was lifted shortly after 10 p.m.
Police were advising motorists to drive with caution as a number of roads in the city were flooded. In a series of tweets Thursday night, a spokesperson for the Toronto Police Services said roads were flooded in the following areas:
- Ingram and Kincourt
- Royal York and Mimco
- Dupont and Ossington
- Sheppard and Seeley
- Wilson and Highway 401
- Allen and Eglinton
- Weston and Imogene
- Parkside and Bloor
- Parkside and High Park
- Sentinel and Finch
- Finch and Weston

The TTC also closed Lawrence Station due to severe flooding.

North of Toronto, heavy rains also flooded a number of roads. Peel Regional Police said there were reports that Burnhamthorpe and Wolfdale Roads were flooded and causing traffic issues. And in York Region, police were advising motorists to avoid the Pine Valley Drive and Villa Park area in Vaughan due to flooding.
