A man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant in connection with a stabbing has surrendered to police.

Police said the man was wanted in connection with a stabbing at a residence in the Bay and Charles Streets area on Halloween.

A 30-year-old man was injured in the incident.

At the time, police issued a statement saying they were looking for 28-year-old Elijah Roberts.

Roberts has been charged with:

  • Two counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition knowing its possession is prohibited
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition obtained by crime
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime
  • Attempted murder
  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Three counts of uttering threats
