At first, the 92-year-old grandmother was able to defend her home from three suspects looking to break in -- but before she knew it, the culprits were able to make it inside through a second door.
Her ordeal happened just before noon Monday at her Scarborough home in the McCowan Road and Finch Avenue area.
She told police one of the suspects held her down while the others grabbed an X-box and a laptop.
Police are investigating the possibility that the house was targeted and that the suspects know the woman's grandson.
The woman was sent to hospital to recover from minor injuries after she was finally ale to flee to her neighbour's.
She is expected to be discharged tonight.
