Train service has resumed along GO Transit’s Richmond Hill line following a pedestrian fatality, Tuesday morning.

Toronto police said a person was hit by a train near Millwood Road and the Don Valley Parkway.

Traffic was suspended along the line as police investigated the fatality south of Oriole Station.

The closure resulted in the cancellation of the 6:25 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. trips from Richmond to Union Station.

Service resumed for the 7:25 a.m. train, but GO Transit said commuters should expect significant delays through the morning.

Service continues to detour around Oriole and Old Cummer stations. Passengers may use their GO fares at the Finch and Leslie TTC stations.
