A panel of glass fell from one of the floors of the Trump International Hotel & Tower in downtown Toronto Wednesday, striking several vehicles below.

Police say the glass fell from the 34th floor of the hotel, located at the intersection of Bay and Adelaide Street East, just after 4 p.m.

No one was injured, but several cars were damaged, said Const. Tony Vella.

Emergency crews attended to the scene and the intersection and the surrounding sidewalks were closed off.

Trump Toronto spokeperson Dorenda McNeil said the glass panel smashed after it was dropped by a worker during its installation.

“The incident is not related to the structure of the building,” she wrote in a statement. “Trump Toronto management is working with Toronto Police on the scene to investigate the cause.”
