A downtown Toronto intersection was temporarily closed Friday morning after a pane of glass fell during a renovation at One King West.

Police briefly closed the area near King and Yonge streets at about 1:30 a.m. after glass shattered on the road.

It appears the pane fell as someone was doing work on one of the building’s upper floors.

The TTC also delayed the King streetcar, replacing it with shuttle buses until the roadway reopened a short time later.
