A 10-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a school bus in Oakville this morning.
According to police, the girl was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk at around 9 a.m. when a school bus turning left onto Sixth Line struck her.
The girl sustained serious injuries as a result and was transported to McMaster Hospital for treatment.
Halton Regional Police’s collision reconstruction is currently on scene.
Sixth Line between Elm and Upper Middle roads was closed in both directions for several hours as police conducted an investigation. All lanes reopened shortly before 3 p.m.
