LISTOWEL, Ont. - A joint funeral service for two volunteer firefighters who died on the job in southwestern Ontario will be held Thursday.

The service for 56-year-old Ken Rea, of Atwood, and 30-year-old Raymond Walter, of Listowel, will he held in the Listowel Memorial Arena at 2.p.m.

Rea and Walter were inside the burning Dollar Stop in Listowel last Thursday when the roof collapsed.

Kriss Snell, North Perth's chief administrative officer, says there have been messages of condolence from across Canada.

Hundreds of messages have been posted online.

Snell says officials expect a large number of emergency services personnel at the service in the town 60 kilometres northwest of Kitchener.
