TORONTO - A Toronto university says it's working closely with police in an investigation of "apparent fraudulent activities."
York University says the apparent fraud at the north Toronto institution occurred from 2007 to early 2010.
The university did not reveal any details of the alleged fraudulent activity.
It says a comprehensive investigation began in December 2009 and Navigant, an independent forensic accounting firm, found a number of irregularities.
The University handed over the relevant materials to the Toronto police in May.
The university says police are investigating the allegations and will be determining if any criminal charges will be laid.
